One of a kind interior in this 1940 Packard owned by the Godson's of Grants Pass, Oregon
The crew at The Cover Up Upholstery in Grants Pass, Oregon had the pleasure of completing a new interior on the beautiful 1940 Packard owned by Mr. & Mrs. Godson. We worked with Mr. Godson and Robert at RPM Muscle on the design as Art Godson was looking to bring the life and glamour of the Packard back to its original look. Here is a short history of the car. It was purchased by the Coca Cola Bottling Company of Bakersfield, CA, in October of 1939. The original owner was the founder of the Bakersfield Coke Bottling corporation, and he made a nice living at it. He demonstrated this by purchasing the Packard. The car is a Custom Super Eight 7 Passenger Touring Sedan ( Limo). There were only a few of these cars built. They were sent to many places all over the world. There are only 17 known to exist. This car was #14 off the assembly line. The car has now been totally restored from the bare metal up. New paint, upholstery, chrome, all new wiring harnesses, dash completely refurbished, as well as all other parts needed to complete the restoration.
